404 Error Message

What is this? and what does it mean?

This is what we commonly refer to as a 404 Page error message.
A 404 error is a Hypertext Transfer (or Transport) Protocol (HTTP) Status code that means that the page you were trying to reach on a website couldn't be found on their server.

Technically, an Error 404 is a client-side error, implying that the error is your mistake, either because you typed the Uniformed Resource Locator (URL) in wrong or the page has been moved or removed from the website.

Another Possiblity is if a website was moved a page or resource but did so without redirecting the old URL to the new one. When that happens, you will receive a 404 error instead of being automatically routed to the new page.

HOW TO FIX:
  •      Make sure you are connected to the internet; try searching a popular webpage such as google.com, yahoo.com, etc etc.
  • Retry the web page by pressing F5, clicking the refresh/reload button, or trying the URL from the address bar again.
  • Check for Errors in the URL. Often times the 404 Not Found Error appears because the URL was typed incorrectly or the link that was clicked points to the wrong URL.
  • Clear Your Browsers Cache. If you have any indication that the 404 Not Found message might just be yours. For example, if you can reach the URL from your phone but not from your tablet, clearning the cache on your tablet's (or computer's) browser might help.

WHAT IS THIS!? (BSOD)

This showed up on my screen what do I do???

Ok, keep calm. This is what we in the Techie world call "The Blue Screen Of Death" (BSOD), and no your computer isn't going to die. This is usually resulted in a virus on your computer, think to yourself and answer these questions:
  1. Have I visited any strange websites lately?
  2. Have I clicked on any side advertisements recently?
  3. Have I opened any strange emails lately?
These are only a few questions, but you get where I'm coming from (if not email me and we'll talk). What you'll need to do is install an Anti-Virus onto your computer to fix this (I suggest Avast, it's free, link is on the sidebar of my blog) simply download this onto your computer and run the scan, should fix your BSOD.
